Happy Father's Day!

Spending the day celebrating the amazing person I get to call my husband! He is such a great dad to Alex. We certainly hit the jackpot in the husband and father department with Brandon. We love you so much, Brandon. Happy Father's Day!

Alexander: Month Four

  • Still LOVES being on the changing table. He could be crying, but if you put him on the table, he stops. You know something is wrong when you put him on the changing  table and doesn't stop crying.
  • Also loves to be in his crib, so whenever I am home during the day, I put him down for his naps there. Or when I need to do something upstairs real fast, I'll just put him in there with a toy and he's good to go for a while.
  • Rolled over from his tummy to back for the first time and no one saw it. Haha. And has since done it two more times.
  • At the beginning of this month, he started to grab things so we broke out the toys.
  • Tries to hold the bottle himself, but isn't very successful at it. But he does love to play with his bottle, which can be annoying when all you want him to do is eat and not play.
  • Went to the pool for the first time. Didn't like it that much, but neither did me or Brandon because the water was still a little chilly for our taste.
  • Started teething. Will teeth for a few days and then be fine for a few days. Has been like this since right after he turned three months. No teeth yet though.
  • For the first half of the month, he would only wake up two times a night to eat. And twice he only woke up once to eat, making his longest stretch of sleep eight hours. Yet, for almost two weeks now he has been waking up three times a night again. I'm hoping he will go back down to two times a night or one time a night soon.
  • Anywhere from seven to nine is fair game for him to go to bed for the night, with eight thirty being the average.
  • Holds his head up so well now.
  • Stopped laying on his side as much whether awake or sleep, but still does it occasionally.
  • Is a very smiley baby until you pull out your phone to take a picture. If we want to get a picture of him smiling, we have to work for it.
  • Is starting to get more into a routine which I love.
  • He may not be able to roll over yet, but is already on the move. We'll put him on the floor to play while we go do things and then come back and he will be laying in a whole different position.
